		<description><![CDATA[Tomorrow is Earth Day and the Library is continuing to celebrate.  We&#8217;ve been featuring different areas of our environmental studies collection all month &#8211; this week&#8217;s topic is ocean and marine resources.  The display case in our front lobby is filled with books on marine conservation, protected areas, and fisheries.

DeAnza Ballroom, Monterey Conference Center<br />
A mix of panels, speakers, and more participatory activities will introduce the sustainability efforts of cities during three simultaneous sessions.</p>

<p>If you are interested in communication and mass media the brand new journal <span style="text-decoration: underline">Communication, Culture &amp; Critique</span> might be of interest.  It&#8217;s published for the International Communication Association by Blackwell.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve also added 2 new Arabic language magazines &#8211; <span style="text-decoration: underline">al-Kambiy¯utir wa-al-ittis¯al¯at wa-al-ilktr¯un¯iy¯at</span> and <span style="text-decoration: underline">al-Majallah</span>.</p>
