The first Saturday of May every year DMC looks to create a better sense of community by bringing everyone together for a day of fun, food, and festivities.  Free Food, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and a live musical performance.  Music plays throughout the event and other organizations join in and have booths for various other activities right outside in the sun.  What more could you ask for?  We have good food,  good music,  good company, usually good weather and a great musical performance.

This year we are happy to announce that Student DJ’s, Kyle Smith ’14, Dan Vatnick ’15, and Joe Ortiz ’14/Ola Fadairo ’15 will grace the party with their very own Block Party sets and Student rap group, Fyre Squad will headline the event with hip hop and rap music!

Who is Fyre Squad you ask?

Fyre Squad is a Middlebury Student Rap group that consists of six members:

Andy Singley ’13, Joe Ortiz ’14, Osaze Riley ’14, Ola Fadairo ’15, Fred Camara ’14 and Evan Auguste ’14.  Coming from different areas in the country, Fyre Squad offers an array of different sounds and flows, each member offering their own take and music.  The group has been making music as a unit for 3 years and opened up for Wale last spring at Middlebury’s Spring concert.
