Please respond to purchase requests
It would be great to have an email response after submitting a purchase request to let me know: 1. request received 2. general sense of how much time this will take and 3. human contact or other means to track progress of the request. Thanks!

Thank you for this great idea! 1.) We will investigate options for automatic notification of requests. 2.) Generally, non-rush requests are received and processed within 4 weeks; rush requests take considerably less time. 3.) Please visit Order Status Query Form if you would like to request an update on the status of your order.
I just want to add that we regularly receive questions at the circulation desks from our users asking for verification and updates on order requests.
