Campus Tree Map
In the landscape department, we manage our urban forest with the help of ArcGis, and generous support from the Geography Department, specifically Bill Hegman. We have over 1800 of the trees on campus named and spacially located. This is a management system where we track tree care, including pruning and fertilization, as well as pest management.
We’ve uploaded some subsets of these maps here, and, using Google Earth they are now viewable, some with pictures. Before starting, we recommend downloading the campus map KML file, and reading the FAQ’s on the same page. If you have Google Earth loaded on your computer, the following maps should open right up in the program.
