And she got curious about whether what she calls the &#8216;electronic tether&#8217; of the cell phone delays adulthood in college kids. So she teamed up with several of her students to create a study looking at how people communicate with their parents during the college years. VPR&#8217;s Jane Lindholm stopped by Professor Hofer&#8217;s office to talk about the study.&#8221;</p>
